{"id":4065,"date":"2011-06-16T07:57:29","date_gmt":"2011-06-16T07:57:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=4065"},"modified":"2016-11-18T13:05:42","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T13:05:42","slug":"senior-exploration-geologist-jobs-in-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/senior-exploration-geologist-jobs-in-ghana.html","title":{"rendered":"Senior Exploration Geologist Jobs in Ghana"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Newmont Ghana Gold Limited a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the World&#8217;s largest gold mining companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The successful candidate will report to the Senior Geoscientist II and will manage and complete assignments in two or more fields of geoscience with a minimum of technical supervision.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the evaluation of exploration development, or acquisition opportunities in a significant area of exploration activity on a major project or in a mine operation<\/li>\n<li>Collect geochemical samples according to defined best practices<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and interpret geochemical data resulting in reporting writing<\/li>\n<li>Design, implement, interpret and react to analytical quality control procedures<\/li>\n<li>Design\u00a0Geochemical surveys to address exploration questions, including provision for staffing, equipment and quality control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive<br \/>\n<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor of Science in Geoscience or related field knowledge of geological, geochemical, and\/or geophysical principles<\/li>\n<li>Typically has more than 6 years of industry experience in a mining or exploration environment<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to hold\/operate a phone and radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation<\/li>\n<li>Will work in mines, project sites and\/or Greenfield exploration environments where conditions may be primitive and\/or harsh at times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>If you would like to be considered for any of these position, please send your application letter and current CV with references, indicating your e-mail address, telephone contact information to the address\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>The Human Resource\u00a0Manager<br \/>\nNewmont Ghana Gold Limited<br \/>\nP.
