Newmont Ghana recruits <strong>Senior Geologist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Successful candidate will support with mine discovery, development reserve conversion, ore control, selective mining, reconciliation investigations and strategic planning<\/p>\n<p>Participate fully in technical geological activities in addition to any managerial or supervisory responsibilities, including geological mapping, drill core or chip logging, drill hole planning, drill program execution , computer deposit modeling, hydrologic metallurgical investigations, etc<br \/>\nEffectively communicate and represent the Mine Geology&#8217;s Teams mission to senior management through presentations and budget reviews<br \/>\nEvaluate all exploration development, or acquisition opportunities in a significant area of exploration activity on a major project or in a mine operation<br \/>\nThe duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences or related field knowledge of geological, geochemical, and\/or geophysical principles<br \/>\nShould have expertise in at least one field of geosciences<br \/>\nAt least 8 years or more of industry experience in a mining or exploration environment<br \/>\nHas considerable latitude for independent judgement, actions, and decision, and has full professional competency<br \/>\nGood technical understanding in exploration, development and more especially mining geology<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you would like to be considered for these position, please send your application letter and current CV with references, indicating your e-mail address, telephone contact information to the address below:<\/p>\n<p>The Human Resources Manager<br \/>\nNewmont Ghana Gold Limited<br \/>\nP.
