Tullow\u2019s second major discovery and subsequent development in Ghana is the TEN fields where first oil\u00a0was successfully achieved on time and on budget in August 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Category Lead \u2013 Indirect<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are further exploration opportunities for Tullow Ghana including expanding Jubilee to include outlying deep-water reserves. More information can be found here:\u00a0Ghana BU<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Indirect Category Lead\u00a0supports the business in meeting its objectives for Indirect Procurement for respective categories \u2013 through the development of long term category plans, contracting strategies, the composition and issue of invitations to tender, objective bid evaluation, preparation and award of the final contract, negotiation of arrangements coupled with post award contractor performance management.<\/p>\n<p>Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) is seeking to hire Category Lead \u2013 Indirect based in Accra to manage respective category with associated function, specifically in deriving and maintaining the category plans and setting deliverables for consolidation, efficiency and cost saving. The responsibilities of the role also include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing contracting strategies for contracts and purchases including establishment of Framework Agreements with regular suppliers, rolling up of multiple contracts with same supplier and exploring global purchasing opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing specifications and Scope of Work for completeness and enabling user functions to translate their requirements into a clearly articulated expression of commercial intent.<\/li>\n<li>Developing, compiling and conducting pre-qualification exercises, pre-tender meetings, invitation to tender documentation, tender openings and evaluation of tenders received, including detailed analysis of commercial and contractual qualifications, exceptions and deviations<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating contractor and supplier-based terms and conditions<\/li>\n<li>Providing ad-hoc support to User functions on post-award contractual interpretation and administration matters coupled with contract provisions including explanations on processes, penalties, and compliance terms to Users<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a Local Content strategy within the Contractor, Supplier or Vendor base having regard to recommendations given by the Local Content team.<\/li>\n<li>Completing Supplier Due Diligence in line with overall Supplier Due Diligence policies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring governance and compliance obligations are fully addressed and documented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You should ideally be an experienced supply chain leader with a minimum of ten (10) years\u2019 experience in Contracting and Procurement, including indirect and general services procurement around required categories.
