MSG\u2019s goal\u00a0is to meet the needs Of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and\u00a0other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services.<\/p>\n<p>MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International\u2019s global partnership, which operates in over Thirty-seven (37) countries worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Length Of contract: All vacancies advertised have one (1) year contract (renewable based upon good\u00a0performance).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Midwives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two Capacity-Building Midwives will contribute to the successful strengthening of the public\u00a0sector in line with the Evolving model strategy and values of MSIG, as welt as the goals of\u00a0sustainability in accordance with the country\u2019s national Policy. The midwives will be primarily\u00a0responsible for providing supportive clinical quality supervision and focused clinical training and\u00a0mentoring to the selected public facilities in the assigned regions of work. One midwife will be based\u00a0in Bole in the Savanna Region and the other in Yendi in the Northern Region but with travel to service\u00a0delivery points in support of quality assurance through monitoring, mentoring and clinical training of\u00a0public sector strengthening teams. The Capacity-Building Teams (CBTs) Midwives will report to the\u00a0Regional Manager in the regions of operation. The CBT Drivers will report to the Midwives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the capacity-building team in identifying health facilities in target areas for Service delivery<\/li>\n<li>Create, nurture and maintain a good working relationship with GHS, opinion leaders, police and local partner organizations for effective collaboration.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients\u2019 special needs such as flexibility on working hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSIG\/GHS services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify appropriate training needs within your team and, in consultation with the Regional manager, arrange for appropriate training and induction of new team members.<\/li>\n<li>Timely collate and submit incident reports to the Regional Manager and Director of MDT.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor monthly team results and in collaboration with the Regional manager, make appropriate recommendations to meet set targets.<\/li>\n<li>Support GHS providers to build capacity in Clinical services, including IUCD, Implant insertion, and removal.<\/li>\n<li>Professional management of client complaints and\/or clinical incidents on Site<\/li>\n<li>Support GHS providers to adhere strictly to all GHS\/MSI clinical quality standards to achieve the highest score in all QTA activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented<\/li>\n<li>Develop monthly CBT site schedule and submit same to GHS before visit<\/li>\n<li>Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the Regional Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a recognized clinical qualification in Midwifery<\/li>\n<li>Must be registered with a recognized local professional body in Ghana and of good standing<\/li>\n<li>Must have the requisite experience to work with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least one (1) year post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position<\/li>\n<li>Experience Of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Excellent provider-client interaction skills<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Work experience With Ghana Health Service and\/or an INGO<\/li>\n<li>Articulate and analytical with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the health delivery system in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Must be multi-skilled and able to work with minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning and Reproductive Health services<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work on own initiative and for longer periods.<\/li>\n<li>Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels \u2014government, donor and community<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about maternal health and the vulnerable<\/li>\n<li>Motivate team members to deliver high-quality service and result<\/li>\n<li>Team player, self-motivated and able to motivate others to achieve results<\/li>\n<li>Pro-choice and pro-family planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This is a local position.
