Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0IT Support Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n GRADE:<\/strong>\u00a0P2\/P3 Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n Under the supervision of the ERERA\u2019s Senior IT Officer, the IT Support Officer shall give assistance in the management of ERERA\u2019s IT systems and processes, as follows:<\/p>\n \u2022 Assist in the development and strategic implementation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) policies within ERERA Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 A minimum of a first degree in computer science\/Information Technology Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Must have optimum knowledge and ability in the field of IT. \n\u2022 Assist in the implementation of the plan for the acquisition and maintenance of all ICT equipment of ERERA
\n\u2022 Install, configure and administer all ICT systems, including hardware, software, communication and network equipment
\n\u2022 Troubleshoot and fix hardware, software and network related problems
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain an inventory of all ICT systems, including detailed technical specifications
\n\u2022 Provide technical assistance and support to users
\n\u2022 Perform routine audits of systems and software
\n\u2022 Backup and restore data files including users\u2019 data, email, website etc\u2026.
\n\u2022 Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of ERERA\u2019s internet website and intranet
\n\u2022 Support the production of ERERA\u2019s publications and promotional items
\n\u2022 Perform graphic design of banners, posters, etc\u2026for ERERA\u2019s publications, website and events
\n\u2022 Manage multimedia resources including animation, audio, photos and videos, and all multimedia equipment
\n\u2022 Any other duty as may be assigned by the hierarchy.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Candidates should possess at least five (5) years professional experience. An experience in energy sector, and specially in regulation will be an advantage.
\n\u2022 Demonstrative experience in setting up and configuring, administering and supporting servers and desktops.
\n\u2022 A good grounding in computer hardware, computer networking and windows.
\n\u2022 Professional certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, Security Plus and ITIL are<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Must have adequate experience in website and data base development and maintenance.
\n\u2022 Must possess good programming skills.
\n\u2022 A diploma in media and communication or related field would be an advantage.
\n\u2022 Experience using graphics and multimedia software is required
\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with little supervision.
\n\u2022 Good understanding of the ECOWAS regional electricity sector.
\n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Strong writing, proof-reading and editing skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent information gathering and reporting skills.<\/p>\n
