This programme is best suited to candidates who can demonstrate a strong analytical background &#8211; whilst not essential a degree in economics, mathematics, or engineering may help.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme overview<\/h2>\n<p>For Wholesale Banking Graduates, the programme consists of 4 standard rotations:<\/p>\n<p>Rotation 1 &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Wholesale Banking Operations (3 months)<\/strong><br \/>\nThis will include gaining an understanding of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cash<\/li>\n<li>Trade<\/li>\n<li>Securities Services<\/li>\n<li>Global Markets Operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rotation 2 &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Risk and Control (5 months)<\/strong><br \/>\nThis can be in one of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Credit Risk Control<\/li>\n<li>Credit Risk<\/li>\n<li>Market Risk (Graduates must have a degree in Finance, Physics, Economics, Sciences, Maths, Computing to take on a placement in Market Risk)<\/li>\n<li>Group Legal and Compliance<\/li>\n<li>Country Legal and Compliance<\/li>\n<li>Wholesale Banking Legal<\/li>\n<li>GSAM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rotation 3 &amp; 4 &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Financial Markets (5 months)<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Origination and Client Coverage or Transaction Banking (5 months)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These rotations will allow you to experience Financial Markets, OCC or TB in a front office capacity. In your final rotation on the programme you will have the opportunity to complete a front office rotation in one of Wholesale Banking\u2019s key strategic countries; China, Africa or India. To add even more competition to an already ambitious group, this opportunity is only given to the top 30% of our Wholesale Banking IGs &#8211; so be one of them, impress us and show us that you\u2019re truly ready for an international career.<\/p>\n<h2>The academic training<\/h2>\n<p>We heavily invest and take your career seriously and have developed two academic training programmes to support your understanding of all areas of Wholesale Banking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The two programmes are as follows:<\/strong><br \/>\nWholesale Banking Academic Programme Phase 1 (WBAP1)<br \/>\nThis programme takes place immediately after the International Induction Programme in Year 1.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is designed to equip you with the required knowledge on the dynamics of financial markets and the products dealt in Wholesale Bank, both in Global Markets and Origination and Client Coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Wholesale Banking Academic Programme Phase 2 (WBAP2)<br \/>\nThe second phase of the programme takes place at the end of Year 1.<\/p>\n<p>This programme is more intensive and after a year with us you\u2019ll be ready for the increase in pace. Here you\u2019ll learn about more advanced product applications and different risk management aspects of the products. You will also deal with Core Credit Curriculum and training is aligned with some of the broader technical curricula required by Financial Markets, Origination and Client Coverage and Risk.<\/p>\n<h2>Professional qualifications<\/h2>\n<p>We invest in your success and sponsor you to complete the CFA Level 1. It is a requirement that you completed Level 1 by the end of year 2.
