Our head office is in the UK with regional offices in Malaysia, Ghana, Colombia, and Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0IT Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position summary\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an innovative IT professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to take on a leading role in developing the IT function for the Proforest group of companies. Key responsibilities are IT strategy and security management, the effectiveness of IT systems, capacity building and overseeing with external service providers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IT Strategy and security management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead on the development and implementation of a long-term IT roadmap to improve the effectiveness and security of IT systems<\/li>\n<li>Identify IT security risks, evaluate mitigation options and carry out suitable measures to ensure the security of company networks, systems, and data<\/li>\n<li>Develop a business continuity plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>System development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be aware of new technologies, engage with stakeholders to identify their technology needs and support implementation of appropriate solutions<\/li>\n<li>Review of existing systems are fit for purpose and implement improvements<\/li>\n<li>Develop IT policies and operating procedures. Maintain documentation of networks, systems, and processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Capacity Building<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a global team of IT power users to strengthen IT capacity in regional offices<\/li>\n<li>Develop guidance documents and training material. Provide training as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Incident response, user support, and maintenance<\/strong><br \/>\nCoordinate and oversee external IT support provider to ensure that incidents, issues, end-user support, and regular maintenance are carried out according to standards<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and practical details\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary range: GHS 82,500-GHS 137,500<\/li>\n<li>Location:\u00a0 Accra, Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Full-time permanent position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional IT qualification (e.g. computer science, network engineering, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<li>Network administration and management, especially Windows server, HyperV, AD, GPO, DHCP\/DNS<\/li>\n<li>Configuration and troubleshooting of laptop and desktop computers<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft environments, especially the Office 365 ecosystem and Azure<\/li>\n<li>Database and Business Intelligence solutions<\/li>\n<li>Security infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices, including BCP and disaster recovery<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and operate in a geographically distributed, multi-cultural environment<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed organizational skills and solution-oriented approach including prioritization, project management, and time management<\/li>\n<li>An enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active approach with the ability to manage own workload effectively<\/li>\n<li>A drive and desire for continuous professional development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send your CV and a brief cover letter that describes how you meet the requirements for this position to<strong>\u00a0AfricaHR@proforest.net<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Application deadline: 20 October 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Proforest is a not-for-profit, mission-driven organization that works throughout agricultural and forest product supply chains to help achieve sustainable use of the world\u2019s natural resources.
