Currently, Voltic (GH) Limited has expanded its portfolio to cover alcoholic beverages, carbonated soft drinks, Juices and Value-Added Dairies. This role reports to the Team Leader Packaging in the Manufacturing Function. The job incumbent is to ensure that the bottling process meets the product and packaging quality requirements.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Quality Controller<\/strong><\/p>\n Key Duties & Responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Calibrate measuring equipment as in master list. \u2022 Report on measuring equipment and submit error report. \u2022 Follow SOP for monitoring quality on the production line and syrup room. \u2022 Ensures implementation of steps to deal with non-conforming product, and take immediate action. \u2022 Run SPC programme on respective lines. \u2022 Collect and test retention samples. \u2022 Participate in quality improvement projects. \u2022 Participate in root cause analyses to resolve quality issues. \u2022 Ensure all lab equipment is cleaned after use. \u2022 Maintain lab housekeeping standards. \u2022 Maintain 5S standards in lab and support teams on line with 5S. \u2022 Ensure both product and package quality on all the production lines \u2022 Ensuring quality of treated water \u2022 Quarantine of all non-conforming materials\/product \u2022 In collaboration with the team leader stop any machine on the line should a serious malfunction occur or that food safety is being compromised. If the stoppage is longer than 30 minutes, the lab technician must inform the quality control supervisor \u2022 Supervising cleaning and sanitation of the Plant and equipment<\/p>\n Skills, Experience & Education<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Ideal: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Sciences or equivalent with training in Total Quality Management. \u2022 Added Advantage: Work experience in the Beverage Industry would be an advantage \u2022 Minimum: National Diploma in Food Technology, Lab Technology, Sciences. \u2022 The ability to seek and consider all possible and relevant information for problem-solving \u2022 Performs and facilitates execution of administrative activities and procedures for the effective execution of own role \u2022 The ability to command attention & respect with confidence and tact. \u2022 Ensure compliance to company policies, procedures and legislation. \u2022 The ability to focus on appropriate detail \u2022 Ability to develop and sustain routine work for long periods of time \u2022 Displays an innate ability to satisfy goals and expectations without being influenced to do so by another person despite circumstances or challenges faced.
