Since 1997,\u00a0we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Health Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal Objective:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The anticipated scope of the five-year project is to support USAID\/Ghana\u00a0staff and partners to implement more efficient, effective,\u00a0and transparent\u00a0activities\u00a0by improving: (1) USAID and Implementing\u00a0Partner\u2019s\u00a0(IP)\u00a0capacity to achieve expected results; (2) USAID\u2019s understanding and tracking of\u00a0activity and project\u00a0performance; and (3)\u00a0Mission and activity ability to collaborate, learn, and adapt\u00a0(CLA).\u00a0The anticipated start date is not yet determined.<\/p>\n<p>The MESP activities will encompass\u00a0the\u00a0Mission\u2019s\u00a0Development\u00a0Objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthened responsive, democratic governance<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable and broadly shared economic growth<\/li>\n<li>Equitable improvements in health status<\/li>\n<li>Improved reading performance in primary school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Description:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SI is seeking a full-time Health\u00a0Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning\u00a0(MEL)\u00a0Specialist\u00a0who will\u00a0contribute to the implementation of\u00a0Health\u00a0MESP activities for this project.\u00a0This position will be based in\u00a0Accra,\u00a0Ghana. The\u00a0Health\u00a0MEL Specialist\u00a0will serve on a full-time basis throughout the five-year period of performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**Please note: Only candidates with\u00a0Ghanaian\u00a0citizenship will be\u00a0considered.**\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the Senior Monitoring and Verification Lead\u00a0to contribute to implementation of MEL activities.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in\u00a0health\u00a0activity case studies, site visits to monitor\u00a0health\u00a0activities, conduct DQAs, and provide other technical assistance for the\u00a0Health\u00a0Office and implementing partners.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely inputs and quality deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Design MEL processes, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, increasingly focused on results of\u00a0health\u00a0MESP activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct review of existing project- and activity-level MEL plans and recommend refinements to the mission\u2019s\u00a0health\u00a0MEL plan.<\/li>\n<li>Lead data collection and analysis efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Develop program recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative data.<\/li>\n<li>Develop dissemination plans for reporting and sharing findings with USAID.<\/li>\n<li>Help to support the integration of MEL into learning and continuous quality improvement efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree and six years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. and four years of relevant experience.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in development of Health MEL activities including: MEL plans at the activity and project level,\u00a0activity case studies, monitoring activities, Data Quality Assessments, as well as other MEL technical activities.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and hands-on experience in USAID\u2019s program cycle and evaluation policy.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in\u00a0spoken and written\u00a0English\u00a0required.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage high-level relationships with partner organizations and implementing partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Social Impact\u00a0(SI)\u00a0is a global development management consulting firm.
