Since 1997, we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director of Finance and Administration\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The anticipated scope of the five-year project is to support USAID\/Ghana staff and partners to implement more efficient, effective, and transparent activities by improving: (1) USAID and Implementing Partner\u2019s (IP) capacity to achieve expected results; (2) USAID\u2019s understanding and tracking of activity and project performance; and (3) Mission and activity ability to collaborate, learn, and adapt (CLA).\u00a0The anticipated start date is not yet determined.<\/p>\n<p>The MESP activities will encompass the Mission\u2019s Development Objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthened responsive, democratic governance<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable and broadly shared economic growth<\/li>\n<li>Equitable improvements in health status<\/li>\n<li>Improved reading performance in primary school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SI is seeking a full-time Director of Finance and Administration to oversee financial planning and management, logistical, and administrative support to the activity team, and ensuring that administrative, financial, contract, and procurement activities are carried out in a manner consistent with the objectives of the activity, and in compliance with USAID regulations and SI policies and procedures. The Director of Finance and Administration will serve as a core team member on a full-time basis throughout the five-year period of performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**Please note: Only candidates with Ghanaian citizenship will be considered.**<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and oversee activity finance and administration for the field office.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deliverables in line with USAID regulations and SI policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and implement procedures for project financial management, procurement, sub-contracts, and consultant contracts to ensure transparency and good business practices.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Activity team\/Chief of Party to ensure that financial management and reporting is in compliance with USAID requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Manage activity start-up and support initial work planning process.<\/li>\n<li>Establish procedures for financial operations, banking, and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Implement other functions relevant to the position, including regular meetings with SI Head Quarters Management Team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master\u2019s level degree in public administration, business, financial management, or another relevant field required.<\/li>\n<li>At least seven years of financial management, grants management, or similar experience in other donor-funded projects; previous work experience with USAID-funded projects preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and experience with Ghanaian payroll income tax calculations and Health policy calculations for all full-time staff.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage and monitor a diverse staff in multiple locations.<\/li>\n<li>High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate and possess superior oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in spoken and written English required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Social Impact (SI) is a global development management consulting firm.
