Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Director of Works and Physical Development\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The Position\/Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n The Director of Works and Physical Development shall, under the Vice-Chancellor, be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the physical environment of the Technical University and the provision of essential services in an efficient and effective manner.<\/p>\n The Director of Works arid Physical Development shall:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Supervise all works and contracts to ensure that construction and renovation are in consonance with prevailing industry standards and specifications. \n\u2022 Advise on the procurement of consultancy services relating to the procurement of technical advice on construction in compliance with the relevant national laws arid regulations.
\n\u2022 Be responsible fo( designing and drawing of buildings, roads, drains, parks and gardens of the University and the management and maintenance of them.
\n\u2022 Advise the Vice-Chancellor and the University Council on matters of the use of and and development
\n\u2022 Provide architectural and engineering designs and bills of quantities for all university construction projects<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Have served as Deputy Director of Works and Physical Development in a University or comparable grade in a similar institutions or organisation for at least six years
\n\u2022 Be a computer literate<\/p>\n
