{"id":42848,"date":"2019-12-12T10:52:29","date_gmt":"2019-12-12T10:52:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=42848"},"modified":"2019-12-12T10:52:29","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T10:52:29","slug":"vtf-programme-jobs-2019-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/vtf-programme-jobs-2019-2.html","title":{"rendered":"VTF Programme Jobs 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The VTF Programme is a non-profit organization committed to promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana and employment of the youth for sustainable livelihood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0ADVOCACY OFFICER.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>VTF is in search of a well-motivated individual with some understanding of the TVET sector for the position of an\u00a0<strong>ADVOCACY OFFICER<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor, analyse and evaluate global policies on TVET<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the establishment of an advocacy team who will follow through the TVET policy development and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Lead the establishment of the regional networks of likeminded persons and institutions in the TVET sector<\/li>\n<li>Constitute a media coalition on exposed knowledge and status of the TVET sector to aid in accurate reportage and induce public understanding<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the organisation of stakeholder consultations on the state of the TVET policy and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Develop programmes and activities to Influence decision makers<\/li>\n<li>Organize education and awareness creation programmes to promote increased knowledge and understanding of the TVET sector<\/li>\n<li>Support in the development of training and capacity building\u00a0 programmes for the youth<\/li>\n<li>Develop press releases, official statements and opinion pieces<\/li>\n<li>Support resource mobilization efforts, proposal writing and related engagements<\/li>\n<li>Write reports and document for periodic submission to stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least a good first degree in social sciences, communication studies, development studies or a related field<\/li>\n<li>A master\u2019s degree will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates understanding of the TVET landscape in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in policy development and analysis<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 experience working in a development-related field<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent facilitation and coordination skills<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing and research skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Interested persons should apply with cover letter and CV to:\u00a0<strong>vtf@vtfprogramme.com.gh<\/strong>\u00a0Postal Address: VTF Programme PMB CT 114, Cantonments<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Closing date:\u00a0December 17, 2019<\/li>\n<li>Please be advised that only shortlisted persons would be contacted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VTF Programme is a non-profit organization committed to promoting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana and employment of the youth for sustainable livelihood.
