The role reports to the IT Program Manager<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Troubleshoot IT problems, hardware and software, and escalate as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Record and update all problems in Service Desk trouble-ticketing system.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Receive tickets assigned through Service-Now or assignments from WA IT Administrator.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Set up new PC workstations, printers, and other peripherals using Corporate tools and standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Assist local users in complying with Corporate standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Report and assist Corporate IT team with any breaches of security, virus alerts and inappropriate use of Company IT and network resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Change or arrange regular (daily) changing of backup tapes where required, and ensure secure storage of tapes in fire safe or approved off-site storage.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Raise requests for purchases of IT-related equipment, and process deliveries of equipment including recording and entering into asset register.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Adhere to company\u2019s software licensing policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u2022A.S.\/B.S. degree in computer science or related degree or equivalent experience<\/p>\n<p>\u20223+ years experience as a hardware\/software technician in a business environment<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Relevant professional IT-related qualifications would be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and operating systems<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Working knowledge of PC in a networking environment<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Ability to learn new products quickly<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Hardware and software configurations<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Good troubleshooting skills (hardware\/software)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022System software knowledge\/experience (Windows 7, Windows XP)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Outstanding people skills and customer service skills orientation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Able to handle rapidly changing priorities, high visibility and high stress situations<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send CVs to cv1@platogh.com<\/p>\n<p>Kindly note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 12th Aug, 2011<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Information Technology Manager shall be responsible for supporting the computer end-users with problem reporting, identification and resolution configuration of PCs and other IT equipment as required.
