To help achieve the results expected in this new country programme the organisation is seeking to employ Ghanaian Nationals with profiles fitting the position listed below. Non-Ghanaians will not be considered.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>VN No.:\u00a0<\/strong>VN-11-20\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Post level:<\/strong>\u00a0GS-7<br \/>\n<strong>Type of Contract:<\/strong>\u00a0Fixed Term<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Under the general supervision of the Deputy Representative, performs a variety of information collecting, monitoring, technical and administrative services of moderate scope and difficulty in support of programme activities and a variety of specialised tasks in support of the preparation, monitoring, and control of the budget, involving several different sources of funds and several programmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities, Duties &amp; Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retrieve information on costs of programme elements, such as staff and related costs, from automated files and compile them in standardised and customised reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide information or allotment accounts and availability of funds; issue revised sub-allotment; advise and update allotment lists<\/li>\n<li>Check for each source of funding computer listings of expenditure by programme area and allotment code, and compiles information in computerised summarised reports to identify areas of over or under-expenditure<\/li>\n<li>Check monthly expenditure reports, to ensure that charges are properly allocated and allotments are not exceeded<\/li>\n<li>Prepare programme status reports by providing programmes&#8217; budgets monitoring information, required for management, board, donors, budget reviews, programme analysis, annual reports, etc<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and evaluate\u00a0financial data to ensure achievement of objectives and recommend corrective action,\u00a0when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the\u00a0accurate and timely input\u00a0of programme information in computerized programme system\u00a0and issurance of status reports for monitoring and evaluation purposes<\/li>\n<li>Identify, formulate and monitor implementation of project agreements by reviewing a variety of\u00a0records, including control plans, progress reports,\u00a0projects inputs, budgets and financial expenditure<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Planning Specialist and Deputy Representative with the preparation and timely submission of all donor reports<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the identification, formulation of Programme Cooperation Agreements\u00a0(PCAs)\u00a0that support the\u00a0implementation of the UNICEF\/GoG CP and facilitates\u00a0the preparation of draft project documents<\/li>\n<li>Collects, registers and maintains information on PCA and other project activities by reviewing reports and through first-hand sources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of Secondary School Education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in a field related to the work of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Seven years of progressively responsible clerical or administrative work, of which at least one year was closely related to support of programme activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competency Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment, Integrity, Diversity and Inclusion Communication (II), Working with People (II), Drive for Results (II),\u00a0Following instructions and procedures (II),\u00a0Analysing (II),\u00a0Planning and Organising (II), Applying technical expertise (II)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have experience working in a similar capacity and want to make an active and lasting contribution to build a better world for children and match the profile outlines, send a brief application letter supported by detailed curriculum vitae, UN Personal History form <strong>(<\/strong>which can be downloaded from<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www%2Cunicef.org\/about\/employ\/index_apply.html\">http:\/\/www,unicef.org\/about\/employ\/index_apply.html<\/a>)<\/strong> and photocopies of other supporting documents to:<\/p>\n<div><strong>The Human Resources Officer<br \/>\nUNICEF<br \/>\nP.
