{"id":43885,"date":"2020-01-20T08:36:58","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T08:36:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=43885"},"modified":"2020-01-20T08:37:15","modified_gmt":"2020-01-20T08:37:15","slug":"miro-forestry-ghana-jobs-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/miro-forestry-ghana-jobs-2020.html","title":{"rendered":"MIRO Forestry Ghana Jobs 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Tractor Operator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong>Supervisor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Direct Subordinates:\u00a0<\/strong>Tractor Checker<\/p>\n<p><strong>WORKING RELATIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal:\u00a0<\/strong>General Manager, Foresters, Mechanics, Company employees<\/p>\n<p><strong>External:\u00a0<\/strong>Driver and Vehicular Licensing Authority Officials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Purpose of Appointment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To assist with machine operation<\/li>\n<li>To assist with vehicle and machinery checks, repairs and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>To cover colleagues job roles in their absence, as required Liaise closely with line manager to ensure the effective management and use of land<\/li>\n<li>To abide by health and safety at work regulations<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance to high forestry standards of existing Establishment.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the supervisor to maintain a record of materials consumed (chemicals) and reporting (daily reports) on materials required such that they can be sourced for the time they are required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring works are carried out according to Company policies and procedures and to high health and safety standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Functions of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive and control farm equipment (Light and heavy) to till soil and to plant, cultivate, and Spray (Inter row And Boom), Bulldozer, Grader, Back hole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.<\/li>\n<li>Attach implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools.<\/li>\n<li>Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.<\/li>\n<li>Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using<\/li>\n<li>Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery<\/li>\n<li>Getting Information \u2013 Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.<\/li>\n<li>Performing General Physical Activities \u2013 Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates<\/li>\n<li>Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings \u2013 Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JOB HOLDER SPECIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Formal Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial driving license<\/li>\n<li>A good standard of general education (Basic or Secondary)<\/li>\n<li>A relevant agricultural driving certificate is desirable other land-based qualifications would also be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Good mechanical skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least Three years experience in operating machinery with good driving records<\/li>\n<li>Experience of agricultural and farm work<\/li>\n<li>Tractor\/machinery driving experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in routine grounds maintenance, including fencing, Strumming and grass cutting<\/li>\n<li>Have the necessary skills to enable manual tasks to be carried out effectively &amp; efficiently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal qualities and competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fitness and alertness<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work long and irregular hours, weekends and on public holidays as required<\/li>\n<li>Excellent operating skills<\/li>\n<li>A good level of understanding of Health &amp; Safety considerations<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work from own initiative with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to priorities and adapt a flexible approach to working<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV to\u00a0<strong>waa@miroforestry.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kindly state the position you are applying for as the subject of your email<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description Job Title:\u00a0Tractor Operator Reports to:\u00a0Supervisor Direct Subordinates:\u00a0Tractor Checker WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Internal:\u00a0General Manager, Foresters, Mechanics, Company employees External:\u00a0Driver and Vehicular Licensing Authority Officials.
