1.1 About Vibrant Village Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) is a private Foundation headquartered in Portland, Oregon State in the United States of America (U.S.A). Established in 2010, the Foundation provides direct assistance and grants to support Agriculture, Livelihoods, Health, Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs in marginalized and deprived communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. VVF has supported programs in over 22 countries since its establishment.<\/p>\n

In Ghana, the Foundation has contributed significantly towards poverty reduction in the Fielmuo community in the Upper West region of Ghana. Fielmuo is located in the Sissala West district and about 150km drive north of WA-the Upper West regional capital. VVF has facilitated the provision of safe drinking water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH), education, health and vocational skills trainingto over 17,000 people in 34 communities in the Sissala West and Lambussie districts. In 2019, VVF commenced the implementation of the \u2018Integrated Program for Poverty Reduction and Social Transformation\u2019 (IMPREST) initiative. The goal of the program is to contribute to poverty reduction, improved wellbeing and resilience of vulnerable populations through the implementation of Education and Child Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and Livelihoods, Food Security and Empowerment of Women programs.We are searching for an experienced candidate to take-up the role of Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator<\/p>\n

2.1 Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n

The post-holder shall be responsible for designing and operationalizing monitoring and evaluation systems in remote areas. He\/She shall contribute to project development, research and evaluations. The specific roles and responsibilities of the post-holder are below:<\/p>\n

2.1.1 Develop and Maintain Monitoring and Evaluation systems<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Create a M&E strategy in line with country needs and best M&E practices
\n\u2022 Develop M&E systems relevant for data collection, analysis, storage and retrieval
\n\u2022 Train and mentor staff to effectively utilise the M&E tools and systems
\n\u2022 Ensure that M&E tools take into account the impact of program intervention in the lives of vulnerable populations especially women and children.
\n\u2022 Work closely with other coordinator level staff to developproject log frames and performance measurement guides
\n\u2022 Support staff to ensure the implementation of M&E plans
\n\u2022 Maintain and regularly update program data
\n\u2022 Provide advice on necessary project adjustments during implementation and post-implementation.
\n\u2022 Monitor compliance of organizational polices and standards<\/p>\n

2.1.2 Assessment and project design<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Design assessment tools and conduct research as may be appropriate
\n\u2022 Maintain detailed records and notes on monitoring and evaluation activities
\n\u2022 Prepare reports and working papers based on research, monitoring and evaluation results
\n\u2022 Prepare spreadsheets, tables, and graphs to highlight findings from the Foundation\u2019s studies.
\n\u2022 Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports and share with relevant stakeholders
\n\u2022 Utilize research findings to inform project design and implementation
\n\u2022 Help develop criteria for the selection of project beneficiaries
\n\u2022 Ensure compliance of field staff and communities to VVF Child Protection, Gender, Sexual harassment and Anti-fraud policies.<\/p>\n

2.1.3 Learning and accountability<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Facilitate lesson learned sessions to document key success and challenges of project implementation
\n\u2022 Review and ensure that training materials are of high quality and standard
\n\u2022 Collate, store and retrieve project information in a timely manner
\n\u2022 Supervise and ensure that field activities are carried out according to plan
\n\u2022 Regularly visit communities to monitor progress of program activities, identify areas for improvement; work closely with communities to address the gaps
\n\u2022 Monitor and undertake internal review and evaluation of programs
\n\u2022 Verify and validate data collected by officers from the field
\n\u2022 Represent the Foundation at partner coordination meetingsin consultation with the Program Director
\n\u2022 Prepare and share regular monitoring report with all staff
\n\u2022 Facilitate the rollout of the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and ensure staff adhere to the key principles and commitment of the CHS<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.1 Profile and experience of the post-holder<\/p>\n

\u2022 Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or relevant area or equivalent work experience
\n\u2022 Advanced degree is an added advantage
\n\u2022 At least 4 years\u2019 experience as MEAL Coordinator in social development programming
\n\u2022 Demonstrate knowledge of quantitative and qualitative M&E systems and tools
\n\u2022 Ability to work in multi-ethnic and culturally diverse stakeholders
\n\u2022 Analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment
\n\u2022 Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
\n\u2022 Good verbal and written communication skills in English required
\n\u2022 Ability to Speak Sissali and\/or Dagaare language will be an added advantage
\n\u2022 Excellent computer skills, including experience in using Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SPSS, Access, and any other statistical packages.
\n\u2022 Strong commitment to improving the well-being of families in rural communities.<\/p>\n
