We provide informed evidence-based advice to government, private sector, and civil society groups in order to help integrate<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Environmental Associate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>sustainable developmental practices and reforms in the development agenda of Ghana and\u00a0across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>We engage with government, international partners, private companies, civil society, donor\u00a0agencies and various stakeholders to help in the achievement of sustainable development<\/p>\n<p>with a particular focus on the following; Natural resources and environmental management;\u00a0Social and environmental risk management; Public policy; Social equity; Climate change;<\/p>\n<p>Mining; Agriculture and food security; Energy; Sustainable business; and sustainable economic\u00a0growth and poverty reduction.<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare research and project concept notes and proposals<\/li>\n<li>Develop business proposals and presentations<\/li>\n<li>Write\/contribute to periodic publications, policy briefs and communiques<\/li>\n<li>Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of consulting assignments and projects via written reports and oral presentations to management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all review notes are addressed and reviewed with the CEO and\/or senior managers<\/li>\n<li>Provide input to the project team during all phases of the project implementation<\/li>\n<li>Lead and\/or contribute in the drafting of reports<\/li>\n<li>Lead and manage research team, including analysts<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with the client to keep them informed of progress and to make relevant decisions<\/li>\n<li>Assist in engaging and maintaining a long lasting and fruitful relationship with the organisation\u2019s clients and partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required Qualification:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of five years\u2019 experience in a research and\/or analyst role in a policy think tank, consulting firm or research firm and at least a Master\u2019s degree in environmental management,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>climate change, sustainable resource management, public policy, sustainable development,\u00a0international development, or a related field.<\/p>\n<p><b>Required Competencies:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership and team building skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in managing a team<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in successfully managing teams<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to excellence and high standards of professionalism<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deliver results and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions<\/li>\n<li>Strategic planning and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<li>Creative thinking and analytical skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">To apply, please submit your cover letter and CV to<strong>\u00a0iggscareers@gmail.com<\/strong>\u00a0on or before 24th\u00a0January 2020.
