DFID is a highly regarded professional development organisation and one of Ghana&#8217;s leading bilateral Development Partners. DFID&#8217;s programme in Ghana is expanding. DFID is seeking motivated, experienced and capable professionals to join a challenging and exciting team.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the development of DFID&#8217;s programmes in Ghana focusing on gender equality, women and girls&#8217; empowerment, social protection and social development.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing gender and social development analysis and advice\u00a0to\u00a0DFID Ghana and her\u00a0key partners, particularly the Government of\u00a0Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Leading a more robust approach to integrating gender analysis and an explicit focus on women and girl&#8217;s empowerment into new programme design and appraisal<\/li>\n<li>Identifying\u00a0new gender equality and women and girl empowerment programming in DFID, leading\u00a0any resulting design and appraisal work<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical and\u00a0management support to the implementation of DFID&#8217;s social protection programmes<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the organisation of DFID&#8217;s internal data, information and knowledge on gender equality and women&#8217;s\u00a0empowerment issues in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and filling gaps in the gender and social development evidence base, through the development of gender and other analytical work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Employment:<\/strong>\u00a0These position are three year fixed term contracts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A good first degree and second degree in a relevant field (Social Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Geography, Gender and Development, Social\/Development Policy, Planning or a related area)<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years relevant professional experience in development or research<\/li>\n<li>Experience in applying social and political analysis to policy processes and development programmes<\/li>\n<li>Specialist knowledge and results in at least one of;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Gender equality, women&#8217;s and girls&#8217; empowerment<\/li>\n<li>Social protection\/cash transfers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of international aid<\/li>\n<li>Excellent statistical, planning and analytical skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate DFID competencies such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with others<\/li>\n<li>Planning &amp; Delivery of Work<\/li>\n<li>Organization Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Influencing skills<\/li>\n<li>Analysis &amp; use of Evidence<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>so wRead more about DFID&#8217;s competencies at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dfid.gov.uk\/About-DFID\/Working-for-DFID\/Recruitment-process\/Applying-for-a-job-at-DFID\/\">http:\/\/www.dfid.gov.uk\/About-DFID\/Working-for-DFID1\/Recruitment-process\/Applying-for-a-job-at-DFID\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should please apply with their CVs and an accompanying synopsis (of no more than one side of A4 sheet) indicating why they consider themselves suitable for the job and a short example of their written work to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>HR Advisory Services<br \/>\nKPMG<br \/>\nMarlin House<br \/>\n13 Yiyiwa Drive, Abelenkpe<br \/>\nP.
