DFID is a highly regarded professional development organisation and one of Ghana&#8217;s leading bilateral Development Partners. DFID&#8217;s programme in Ghana is expanding. DFID is seeking motivated, experienced and capable professionals to join a challenging and exciting team.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nDFID places great weight on effective monitoring and evaluation of programmes, and on fully understanding the impact of our work. This exciting new post will lead DFID Ghana&#8217;s work on results and monitoring and evaluation. The successful candidate will assist DFID in evaluation impact, identifying strengths and weakness of programmes and working with the programme teams and advisers to strengthen the quality and use of evidence in programme design, implantation and evaluation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Incorporating monitoring and evaluation processes within the programme management cycle, to ensure all programmes can be appropriately monitored and evaluated using both quantitative and qualitative methods, to generate solid evidence of positive and negative impacts<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and ensuring a balanced use of evidence in the design of DFID-Ghana programs<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring effective communication and reporting against DFID-Ghana&#8217;s Results Framework as well as other central reporting on results<\/li>\n<li>Leading DFID-Ghana&#8217;s engagement to strengthen sector Monitoring &amp; Evaluation and statistical systems<\/li>\n<li>Keeping up-to-date with latest DFID thinking on results, value for money measurement, programme design and evaluation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Terms of Employment:<\/strong>\u00a0These position are three year fixed term contracts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A good first degree and preferably a second degree in a relevant subject (Politics, Economics, Management, Public Administration or a related area)<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a donor agency, International NGO or Embassy<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the use of statistical methods and tools<\/li>\n<li>Good experience of programme management<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation, particularly impact evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of approaches to developing capacity of sector Monitoring and Evaluation systems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent statistical and analytical skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate DFID competencies such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with others<\/li>\n<li>Planning &amp; Delivery of Work<\/li>\n<li>Organization Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Influencing skills<\/li>\n<li>Analysis &amp; use of Evidence<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>so wRead more about DFID&#8217;s competencies at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dfid.gov.uk\/About-DFID\/Working-for-DFID\/Recruitment-process\/Applying-for-a-job-at-DFID\/\">http:\/\/www.dfid.gov.uk\/About-DFID\/Working-for-DFID1\/Recruitment-process\/Applying-for-a-job-at-DFID\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should please apply with their CVs and an accompanying synopsis (of no more than one side of A4 sheet) indicating why they consider themselves suitable for the job and a short example of their written work to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>HR Advisory Services<br \/>\nKPMG<br \/>\nMarlin House<br \/>\n13 Yiyiwa Drive, Abelenkpe<br \/>\nP.
