Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Facilities Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project:<\/strong>\u00a0GIZ Governance for Inclusive Development (GovID)
\nReports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Head of Finance and Administration
\nAssignment Period:<\/strong>\u00a0One-year contract with a possibility of an extension
\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Accra, Greater Accra Region<\/p>\n

Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Facility Management<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manages the GIZ Governance service team including the housekeepers, gardening, and drivers
\n\u2022 Carries out regular checks on all technical parts of the Governance Building and makes sure everything is in order
\n\u2022 Reports damages and malfunctions in and at the Building and its premises to management on time
\n\u2022 Handles all technical and organizational matters regarding telecommunication, such as telephone, internet; etc
\n\u2022 Ensuring ICT equipment (photocopier; printer etc.) and all other office equipment are in good working condition; to this end, the officer conducts regular checks on this equipment.
\n\u2022 Liaising with public service providers (Telecommunication, Internet, electrical power, water supply) in connection with their services to the offices and ensures timely payment of these utilities
\nArranges for and communicates with external service providers eg. Cleaning, security services, etc., when needed
\n\u2022 Supervises and coordinates the security follow up on the activities of the security company and cleaning services, reports failure to management and proposes
\n\u2022 Checks and advises management on the adherence of regulations of the office building and provides recommendations to management when needed.
\n\u2022 Ensures health and safety, updates him\/herself on safety, firefighting and security precautions and advises members of the office building accordingly.<\/p>\n

Logistics Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists in the logistical management of meetings in the office building
\n\u2022 Manages transport services
\n\u2022 Confirms the proper handling and utilization of the vehicles assigned to the project by ensuring trips are registered by the drivers (monitors log books) and regular maintenance service is undertaken in collaboration with the drivers
\n\u2022 Prepares monthly fuel consumption summaries and averages<\/p>\n

Improved Service Provision<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Organizes training on service mentality, technical and mechanical courses, writing and speaking, ecology (separate waste management, composting), health and hygiene, first aid, etc.
\n\u2022 Introduces measures for effective coordination of the project drivers\u2019 schedules.<\/p>\n

Other Duties\/Additional Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Assists in and\/or carries out other activities and tasks assigned by the supervisor<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your Profile<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Logistics, Hotel \/ Facility Management
\n\u2022 At least 3 years working experience in Logistics \/ Hotel \/ Facility Management or a similar position (according to international standards) with references
\n\u2022 Good knowledge of the English language widely used in the country, ideally a knowledge of German
\n\u2022 Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, e-mail, scanner, Internet and its software)
\n\u2022 Disciplined and Punctual
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
\n\u2022 Resilience and patience
\n\u2022 Good communication skills
\n\u2022 Excellent organising skills
\n\u2022 Strong customer service orientation
\n\u2022 Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed \u2013 corresponding measures to be agreed with Management<\/p>\n
