{"id":451,"date":"2010-07-27T03:53:37","date_gmt":"2010-07-27T03:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=451"},"modified":"2013-12-26T14:06:54","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T14:06:54","slug":"ghana-institute-of-management-and-public-administration-recruits-dean-of-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-institute-of-management-and-public-administration-recruits-dean-of-school.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Institute of management and Public Administration recruits Dean of School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dean of the School of Technology (SOT) is responsible for the academic leadership and general administration of the school in respect of human, financial and material resources of the School within the framework of GIMPA&#8217;s Status and policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major Responsibilities include among others:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report to the Rector; and shall be a member of the Executive Management Committee (EMC) and Academic Board of the Institute<\/li>\n<li>Oversee curriculum and faculty development and academic administration decisions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all standards of accreditation are met for the SOT<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership and guidance in planning and implementation activities of the School<\/li>\n<li>Make recommendations to the Academic Board for the development of plans for new programmes and refinement of existing programmes<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other incidental and related duties as directed by Senior Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remunerations:\u00a0<strong>Very attractive and competitive<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Term of Appointment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate shall hold office for a term of three (3) academic years and will be eligible for another term of three (3) academic years\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A PhD. degree and performance at professional rank constitute the basic requirement. However in exceptional cases a Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics or related areas with Senior level University teaching, research and\/or industry experience will be considered<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of high level scholarship and intellectual contributions to the applicant&#8217;s field of expertise<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of leadership skills acquired over a minimum period of ten (10) years involvement within academia and\/or industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have high level policy analytical skills and hence intellectual capacity to grasp\u00a0 the essence and spirit of researched information and analytical presentations<\/li>\n<li>Must possess proven skill in programme and project analysis and programme budgeting<\/li>\n<li>Must have excellent problem solving, interpersonal and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Must possess adequate skill to provide guidance and administrative advice to Faculty and staff\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Persons interested in any of the above-mentioned positions may submit their application letters by post or electronically, together with the most recent curriculum vitae to the following address to:<\/p>\n<div><strong>THE AG.
