\n\u2022 He\/ She will lead in the design, implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Library Information Systems.
\n\u2022 Focusing on visibility, accessibility, sustainability and performance.
\n\u2022 The Systems Librarian shall also automate the workflow and optimize operations of the University Library Systems.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Design, Implement and maintain the Library Management Systems.
\n\u2022 Manage and Support the Library websites and the E-library.
\n\u2022 Manage and support the University Institutional Repositories (IR).
\n\u2022 Manage and support library hardware and software that support library services and operations eg. KOHA, Dspace, EZProxy, LibGuide etc.
\n\u2022 Manage and support Library Servers and Networks.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Professional certificates in Librarianship and ICT will be an advantage.
\n\u2022 Evidence of Research and Scholarly Publications.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Library automation \/ Integrated Library systems and technologies.
\n\u2022 Client server environment UNIX, LINUX, ORACLE, MySQL, XML, PIN etc.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of cataloguing principles including MARC and MARC 21
\n\u2022 Knowledge of web development and data use management
\n\u2022 Programming language (HTML, CSS, Java script, Python etc.)<\/p>\n
\nor Assistant Librarian must have a minimum of MPhil or MSc or MA (Research).<\/p>\n
