\n\u2022 These networks typically include an intranet, extranet, local area network (LAN), and wide area network (WAN).<\/p>\n
\nConfiguring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, local balancers, VPN, QoS)
\n\u2022 Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environment including systems software applications software, hardware and configurations
\n\u2022 Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
\n\u2022 Protecting data, software and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
\n\u2022 Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other network and system problems.
\n\u2022 Replacing faulty network hardware components when required
\n\u2022 Maintaining, configuring and monitoring virus protection software and email applications
\n\u2022 Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
\n\u2022 Conferring with network users about solving existing system problem.
\n\u2022 Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
\n\u2022 Coordinating computer network access and use
\n\u2022 Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware and operating system software.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Possess M.Phil. in Information Technology
\n\u2022 Certificate in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and CCNP (CISCO Certified Network Professional).
\n\u2022 Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in the IT industry
\n\u2022 Knowledge of application, transport and network infrastructure protocols.<\/p>\n
