We are certified as a Top Employer by the Top Employer Institute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Business Development Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hollard General is looking for\u00a0<strong>Business Development Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To be responsible for the development and maintenance of effective business relationships with direct and corporate clients and grow sales and profitability at the Kumasi branch.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate will also supervise Hollard2U\/Sales Executives and ensure that they meet and exceed their sales and profitability targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sell Hollard products to personal, corporate and institutional clients<\/li>\n<li>Achieve monthly and yearly premium targets for new business and renewal of existing businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and develop relationships with corporate bodies and individuals with the aim of generating business as per agreed targets.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend or implement changes to improve productivity, profitability, growth and the quality of the assigned book of business and decline unsuitable risks.<\/li>\n<li>Review segment profit\/growth results and trends and recommend action plans to produce profitable underwriting results.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze qualitative and quantitative data of corporate and institutional clients and seek approval for risk selection and acceptance, coverage and price. Recommend creative alternatives with regards to rating plans and payment plans within guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that policy transaction (quotes, new business, endorsements, renewals, post-loss, cancellations) are issued and changes recorded accurately and in a timely manner by rating and\/or capturing transactions into the core business system.<\/li>\n<li>Interact frequently with Brokers, Hollard2U Agents, Institutional clients and provide timely and professional customer service to them.<\/li>\n<li>Provide monthly reports on achievements, pending issues, problems and suggested recommendations as per agreed timelines and formats.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full compliance with all processes, policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor incentive campaigns and ensure timeous payment of commissions and other approved payments<\/li>\n<li>Drive change management among direct reports in areas as such as talent management, cultural change and create a positive work atmosphere.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in Marketing, Insurance or related field<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 experience in Sales and leading sales teams<\/li>\n<li>A proven salesperson with a tract record of meeting sales targets<\/li>\n<li>Excellent prospecting and relationship management skills<\/li>\n<li>Have product knowledge, basic rating principles, and risk assessment knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Market knowledge (including competitor information)<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested persons should send a cover letter and a current resume to:\u00a0<strong>Recruitment@Hollard.com.gh<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please indicate\u00a0<strong>HG-BDM\u00a0<\/strong>as the subject of your email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hollard Ghana combines its deep local knowledge of the market with the world-class expertise of an international insurance brand.
