We run the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum. Our school is home to both Ghanaian and international students aged between 9months and 18 years old.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Librarian<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking to recruit a qualified Librarian to manage the school library.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide termly reports on the status of books and make recommendations to the heads of school and management.<\/li>\n<li>Categorize books and resource materials by standardized classification systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ascertain students\u2019 needs and assist their efforts in locating information.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with teachers to ensure that materials needed for school work are available.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare book orders in consultation with the heads of school at the end of each term and\/or academic year.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the main link between the school and book suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Organize book fairs for all departments of the school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good honors degree in Librarianship or related course.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the effective and total management of a school library.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability in promoting reading among pupils and students.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use current resources available to upgrade the library to an international standard.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to develop a tracking system to ensure that no book belonging to the school is misplaced or kept in a student\u2019s home beyond the approved period.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to provide detailed record-keeping of all books and resources in the library.<\/li>\n<li>A strong and positive work ethic and a responsible attitude to working with children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please email the following to<strong>\u00a0jobs@brainybairn.edu.gh<\/strong>\u00a0on or before\u00a0<strong>31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0March 2020<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0(Note: Subject of your email should be the job title)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Personal Statement in support of your application.
