Locations: Nairobi, Kenya; Accra, Ghana; Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Media Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead social strategy, including identifying opportunities for audience and traffic growth across all social platforms and managing our content calendar<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and respond to comments and engagement daily<\/li>\n<li>Analyze the performance of our social content and provide insight to the team on a weekly basis<\/li>\n<li>Shoot and edit photo and video content for use across all content platforms<\/li>\n<li>Research and coordinate paid influencer and blogger campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics<\/li>\n<li>Help manage corporate email marketing campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Grow our social following using strategic growth strategies and innovative content<\/li>\n<li>Manage our company blog including writing or curating multiple blog posts per week leveraging best practices for SEO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree, preferably in marketing, communication or journalism<\/li>\n<li>2+ years of experience managing social media for an established brand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong writing skills, with an emphasis on writing for the web and engaging social content<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with both paid and organic social strategies<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of tone and marketing messaging as it relates to customer acquisition and brand guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite; Google Analytics a plus<\/li>\n<li>Organized and ambitious, with a strong dedication to accuracy and follow-through<\/li>\n<li>Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bonus Points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of Africa\u2019s varied problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Closing Date<\/strong>\u00a0: 16th May, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Engineer Africa is seeking a qualified Social Media Manager to work with our team in our first marketing effort.
