Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Director Of Finance<\/strong><\/p>\n The University<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Established in 1954 as Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) to offer craft courses. The Person<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 The Director of Finance is a top management position and is the Head of the Finance Office of the University. Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n The Director of Finance:<\/em><\/p>\n \u2022 is the Chief Accounts Officer of the University and the Chief Financial Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor; Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Applicant must be a Chartered Accountant and hold a Masters degree in the relevant field. He\/She must have served as a Deputy Director of Finance in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution\/organisation for at least six (6) years. Applicant must be computer literate and be conversant with accounting software applications.<\/p>\n In addition, applicant must:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 be analytical, critical, result-oriented, innovative and visionary; Terms of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n The Director of Finance shall hold office for a term of four (4) years, which should be completed before the statutory retirement age of sixty (60) years. \n\u2022 has general responsibility for the administration of the financial affairs of the University that shall ensure its financial health and he\/she exercises direct superintendence over all accounts officers;
\n\u2022 is responsible for collecting all legitimate revenue due the University; . exercises control over expenditure in line with the University\u2019s objectives and budgets;
\n\u2022 has the duty of preparing the annual budget of the University for presentation to the appropriate governing body for approval and implementation;
\n\u2022 is also responsible for ensuring that the financial statements of the University are drawn up in accordance with the Technical Universities Act 2016, Act 922 (as amended by the Technical Universities Amendment Act 2018, Act 974), the Harmonised Statutes, applicable accounting standards and all other Regulations approved by the University as well as all other relevant national laws and regulations;
\n\u2022 liaises with the appointed external auditors to get the University\u2019s financial statements audited.<\/p>\n
