If you consider yourself to be a logical and inquisitive individual with a proven ability in building user-centric, dynamic, secure, responsive front-end interfaces to support highly dynamic back-end systems, then this is your time to shine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Frontend Web Developer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this key role, after an initial acclimatization period, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to further hone and demonstrate your web development skills, whilst building a dynamic database driven website. You will help to optimise the company\u2019s development environment whilst working closely with the front-end development team. As it\u2019s a start-up, from day one you\u2019ll be considered a key member of the team, and you\u2019ll be in a role where your opinion always matters. You\u2019ll also be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle. In addition, there will also be a certificated training programme to capture your growth journey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you the person we\u2019re looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We need a talented developer with a strong grasp of JavaScript and CSS frameworks, who takes the care to test it, not for testing sakes, but to please every user. Most importantly, we want people who are looking to join an innovative start-up, offering great scope for career development and future growth.<\/p>\n<p>As a front-end Web Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the UI and writing adaptable code to give a UX the public deserve, and our client base demands. You will also be responsible for helping debug problems, optimising front end-testing procedures and offering collaborative support to other members of the team. Additionally, you will ensure smooth integration with existing libraries and command line utilities.<\/p>\n<p>As a minimum we need people who have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A solid knowledge of object-oriented programming written in enterprise-class reusable, testable, and efficient JavaScript;some familiarity with and\/or a working knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Vue;<\/li>\n<li>World-class recent experience of development working with the Windows Command Line Interface;<\/li>\n<li>Experience of writing scalable presentation-server code with associated server API tests and the documentation specific to developed APIs and component implementations.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience with mark-up languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What else would be good?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors\/Masters level (or higher) degree in Computer Science (or a similar\/related field);<\/li>\n<li>Extensive hands-on development experience with a viewable portfolio;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of source control systems, such as Mercurial and\/or GIT;<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience of working with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, Cloud Front and Route 53;<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working with other scalable hosted solutions; and<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working on mobile and\/or responsive web projects.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of SEO principles<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite (<strong>Photoshop, XD, Illustrator<\/strong>) and Content management systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and multitasking skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why work with Walulel?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll join the beginnings of Walulel, a company with a friendly team of highly skilled, ambitious and motivated data scientists, architects, urban planners and web developers who work collaboratively to achieve a common goal of delivering impactful analysis.
