FOCOS mission is to provide comprehensive, affordable orthopaedic care to those who would not otherwise have access to such treatment. In particular, FOCOS seeks to enhance access to optimal surgical and non-surgical care for patients with disabling musculoskeletal disorders including complex spine deformities and pediatric orthopedic problems in underserved regions. \n\u2022 Participates as a member of the Medical Team in providing care, monitoring and evaluation of patients on admission
\n\u2022 Prepares doctors notes as well as discharge notes
\n\u2022 Provides weekend coverage as per approved schedule
\n\u2022 Assists with clearing of patients for travel
\n\u2022 Liaises with relevant departments in ensuring optimum care to clients\/patients
\n\u2022 Participates in quality improvement programs and or activities.
\n\u2022 Assists perform surgical operations\/clinical procedures within identified competency
\n\u2022 Provides support and information to patients\/relatives as and when necessary.
\n\u2022 Conducts\/participates in:
\no Ward Rounds
\no Clinical meetings
\no Morbidity\/mortality meetings
\no Clinico -Pathological conferences
\no Journals\u2019 clubs
\n\u2022 Participates in district and community health programs as and when required
\n\u2022 Conducts\/participates in operational research
\n\u2022 Be actively involved in the issues of infection prevention and control.
\n\u2022 Ensures compliance with the hospital and departmental policies and procedures by team members.
\n\u2022 Performs any other duty that may be assigned by management from time to time<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 A valid License to practice in Ghana
\n\u2022 Continuous Professional Training across a wide range of clinical issues<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Knowledge of health and safety relevant to this post.
\n\u2022 Knowledge in spinal care is an advantage.
\n\u2022 Basic surgical skills
\n\u2022 Supervisory skills
\n\u2022 Advanced life support\/resuscitation skills
\n\u2022 Report writing and presentation skill
\n\u2022 Analytical and problem solving skill
\n\u2022 Ability to initiate and maintain clear, concise documentation<\/p>\n
