THE WORK AT THE FOUNDATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have entered a very exciting time at the Foundation as we scale up our operations across Africa to realize our\u00a0Young Africa Works\u00a0strategy.\u00a0<\/strong>Our role at the Mastercard Foundation is to be a catalyst. Our Young Africa Works strategy focuses on working with others to spur systemic change so young people have the opportunity to find work that is dignified and fulfilling.<\/p>\n

The Foundation has opened offices in Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Uganda, building a broader leadership presence in Africa to develop specific strategies that support youth employment.\u00a0 Within a country, we work with governments, the private sector, educators and other funders to improve the quality of education and vocational training, prepare young people for the workforce, expand access to financial services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and connect job seekers to dignified and fulfilling work.<\/p>\n

THE OPPORTUNITY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporting to the Lead, Young Africa Works Summit and Events, this position will work closely with the Policy and Thought Leadership team as well as with other departments within the Foundation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to conceptualize and manage the planning, administration, and logistics for various local, regional, and international Foundation events.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will have the experience and knowledge to create high-impact events. The candidate should also provide outstanding customer service to internal clients, be an enthusiastic professional, and have the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n
