Job Title:\u00a0Project Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

ICMPD is inviting all interested candidates to apply for the Project Officer position, for the SBS Ghana project.<\/p>\n

The overall objective of SBS ghana to contribute to reducing irregular migration, by strengthening the capacities of national agencies, academic institutions and CSOs working in the area of migration, for improved service delivery and coordination at all levels including cooperation and coordination with neighboring countries and by enhancing border management and security. The project has two<\/p>\n

components: 1. Support to Ghana Immigration Service; 2. Demand-Driven Facility (DDF) for CSOs, universities, and media (support to innovative projects).<\/p>\n

The Project Officer is responsible for the implementation and coordination of project activities. S\/he supports the planning of project activities and coordinates implementation in collaboration with project stakeholders, beneficiaries, experts, and partners.<\/p>\n

TheProjectOfficeradministersproject inputs according to the approved project documentation, work plans and budgets, and in line with ICMPD\u00b4s rules and business processes as well as partner and donor agreements. S\/he is responsible for the timely achievement of high-quality outputs within the assigned area of work.<\/p>\n

1The Project Officer plans to organize and supervises the work of experts and contractors ensuring high quality and timeliness of their outputs. S\/he contributes to the production of substantive project content and prepares inputs to donor and other substantive reports. The Project Officer contributes to the overall planning of the project and participates in project communications and monitoring activities preparing content and inputs. The Project Officer assesses project results and formulates inputs to the development of new initiatives.<\/p>\n

TheProjectOfficerworksunderthesupervisionoftheProjectManagerandinclosecollaborationwith other project team members, particularly the project assistant(s), and project experts. S\/he cultivates contacts with the project stakeholders and partners at the working level.<\/p>\n
