Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Director of Pharmacy.<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 To have overall responsibility for medicines management and ensure the the maintenance of pharmaceutical standards through monitoring, teaching, research, policy development and implementation within the hospital<\/p>\n Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Provide pharmaceutical advice to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n The person must be a Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services or a Senior Specialist grade and have the following:<\/p>\n \u2022 Be registered member of pharmacists council in good standing Duration of Contract<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Both positions are on 4 year contract basis subject to renewal upon satisfactory work and conduct. \n\u2022 Be responsible for the provision of good quality pharmaceutical activities within the hospital to the Chief Executive Officer
\n\u2022 Ensure the establishment and effective functioning of Medicines and Therapeutic committees in the hospitals
\n\u2022 Undertake any other responsibility assigned by the CEO<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Degree in Pharmacy plus a relevant postgraduate qualification (Membership or Fellowship) from the College of Pharmacists
\n\u2022 Have a minimum of 15 years working experience, 5 of which should be at the level of senior management
\n\u2022 Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in management
\n\u2022 A broad knowledge base of the standards of pharmaceutical care and SOPs and guidelines<\/p>\n
