{"id":48556,"date":"2020-06-29T15:59:43","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T15:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=48556"},"modified":"2020-06-29T15:59:43","modified_gmt":"2020-06-29T15:59:43","slug":"african-trade-insurance-agency-vacancies-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/african-trade-insurance-agency-vacancies-2020.html","title":{"rendered":"African Trade Insurance Agency Vacancies 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Actuary\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the role will also support both the Finance and the Underwriting departments and will help on risk analysis, stress testing, reserving, pricing and implementation of IFRS17.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop or improve claims reserving methodologies<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop and maintain a reliable statistical database<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop a stress-testing model and conduct regular stress tests<br \/>\n\u2022 Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop or improve ATI\u2019s pricing model and monitor pricing adequacy for ATI\u2019s overall book of business<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist with presentation of rate impacts to key stakeholders including senior management and ATI\u2019s major accounts<br \/>\n\u2022 Help optimize ATI\u2019s reinsurance program<br \/>\n\u2022 Establish and document actuarial procedures and methodologies<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide data, analysis and support to various external and internal customers; including auditors, reinsurers and reinsurance brokers, when required<br \/>\n\u2022 Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the actuarial profession related to pricing, reserving, credit and related areas<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop a thorough understanding of IFRS 17 requirements from both an actuarial and accounting perspective<br \/>\n\u2022 Advise and provide the necessary support on the IFRS 17 implementation project and proactively participate in the implementation of an IFRS 17 tool<br \/>\n\u2022 Coach other staff on the use and interpretation of standard actuarial procedures in the risk, underwriting, claims and finance departments<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Qualifications &amp; Attributes<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Qualified Actuary<br \/>\n\u2022 6-8 years of experience in actuarial field, including supporting actuarial reserving, pricing or financial modeling in the financial sector, related to Corporate or Commercial Insurance.
