The positions are Grants\u00a0Assistants would be located in\u00a0<strong>Tamale, Takoradi, Kumasi, Cape Coast and Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Grants Overview:<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Grants\u00a0Assistants positions deal with funds management, co-ordination and monitoring a grants portfolio to local NGOs to support community mobilization activities, enhancing and strengthening the capacity of the LNGOs in response to priority health and social needs in both rural and urban communities. These positions require extensive travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work and manage sub-grants to LNGOs by awards and effectively administer the sub-grants to support community mobilization activities<\/li>\n<li>Administer awards, review reimbursements for appropriateness and ensure that LNGOs are in compliance with USAID policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Monitor individual budget line expenditures, assuring that each grantee remains within allowable and contracted levels, or requests authorization to exceed them<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate in grants management training for grantees<\/li>\n<li>Lead the timely design, planning and implementation of grant close-outs and close-out reporting as per USAID and JHU\/CCP policies, regulation and standard practices<\/li>\n<li>Report to and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Grants\u00a0Assistants should hold a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study with a minimum of 2 years professional working experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess working knowledge of USAID funds management such as OMB Circulars (A-122, A-133), regulations and guidelines (22CFR226, AD303)<\/li>\n<li>Have advanced proficiency in Excel<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Possess a high level of interpersonal, good communication\/writing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Applicants should submit application with cover letter and CV by 8th August, 2011 via email or hardcopy.
