\n\u2022 Coach, mentor, and train the staff of the Commodity Exchange unit.
\n\u2022 Ensure the effective running of the Commodity Exchange unit.
\n\u2022 Evaluate the operational effectiveness of the Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt system and make recommendations for improvement.
\n\u2022 Enforce securities laws, regulations, rules, and best practices of the Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipts system.
\n\u2022 Conduct surveillance of trades and investigate abusive trade practices.
\n\u2022 Conduct on-site and off-site inspections of Commodity Exchange, Self-Regulated Organisations for the Warehouse Receipt System, and commodity market operators.
\n\u2022 Process license and new product applications.
\n\u2022 Develop programmes of work for inspections and trade surveillance.
\n\u2022 Lead consultations with stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Develop and\/or make contributions to draft Laws, Regulations, and procedure manual.
\n\u2022 Contribute to the strategic document of the Commodity Exchange unit, department, and the Commission.
\n\u2022 Enhance output by strict application of the law to issues etc.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an advantage.
\n\u2022 A minimum of twelve (12) years post-Bachelor\u2019s degree relevant work experience, four (4) of which must be in similar position in a reputable organisation.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 In-depth knowledge and experience in securities market regulation with emphasis on Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt systems.
\n\u2022 Strong track-record in Warehouse Receipt and Commodity Exchange practices, procedures, and regulation.
\n\u2022 Demonstrable understanding of policies and procedures for the operation of Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt systems.
\n\u2022 Strong managerial and administrative competence.
\n\u2022 Knowledge and experience in the securities industry.
\n\u2022 Strong managerial and administrative and skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
