Ghana Cocoa Board recruits <strong>Health Care Assistants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo assist the nursing staff in providing care for patients on the Ward\/Unit<br \/>\nAssists in feeding patients<br \/>\nAssists patients to access and use the toilet facilities<br \/>\nAssists patient to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance (e.g bathing, mouth care)<br \/>\nAssists patients to ambulate as planned<br \/>\nAssists with manual handling and transferring of patients between hospital environments<br \/>\nAssists the professional nurse to undertake the last offices of the deceased patients<br \/>\nAssists patients during admission and discharge<br \/>\nUndertakes ward dusting and general cleanliness of the ward\/workplace<br \/>\nTakes care and undertakes cleaning of equipment (instruments and bedpans)<br \/>\nEnsures that all actions undertaken is consistent with the patient&#8217;s multi-disciplinary plan of care<br \/>\nCarries out other official dutes assigned by the Ward Manager\/Unit in-charge<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SSSCE Certificate (3 passes including English plus at least 3 months&#8217; training (theory and practical) as health care assistant<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/p>\n<p>Some Knowledge of quality assurance issues and GHS guidelines relating to patient\/client confidentiality<br \/>\nCommunicate effectively both orally and written<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and relate to people from different backgrounds<br \/>\nAbility to initiate and maintain clear and concise documentation<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their applications and curriculum vitae through the following address;<br \/>\nDIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCE<br \/>\nGHANA COCOA BOARD<br \/>\nP.
