{"id":4915,"date":"2011-08-05T07:51:16","date_gmt":"2011-08-05T07:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=4915"},"modified":"2016-11-24T16:06:52","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T16:06:52","slug":"ghana-civil-aviation-authority-recruitment-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-civil-aviation-authority-recruitment-2011.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Civil Aviation Authority Recruitment 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><em>Ghana Civil Aviation Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the under-mentioned vacancy in the Economic Regulations Department of the Authority.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Job Vacancy:\u00a0Director, Economic Regulations<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nUnder the supervision of the Director-General and the Board, the incumbent will ensure that all the various functions\/tasks are performed as indicated below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The incumbent will perform the following duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set performance standards for the constituent units of the department (regulation, consumer protection and business development\/statistics)<\/li>\n<li>Provide expert policy and economic advise and analysis within GCAA on airports, airlines and air traffic services<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates the preparation\/issuing of regulations with respect to service\/facilities provision at the airports by aviation service providers<\/li>\n<li>Develops\/implements frameworks for assessing service sustainability of airlines\/aviation services providers<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the design\/coordination\/implementation\/monitoring framework for bilateral, multilateral, commercial air service agreements<\/li>\n<li>Submits aviation economic\/consumer statistics as required by ICAO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The Person<br \/>\nThe applicant must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least Masters Degree in economics (preferably specialization in regulatory economics and applied macro-economics) or a Masters Degree in Aviation Management<\/li>\n<li>A certificate\/diploma\/degree in business administration will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>At least ten (10) years post qualification experience in economics regulation in the aviation industry\/application of micro-economic tools in a regulatory environment similar to that of the aviation industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:<br \/>\nThe applicants must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An in depth knowledge of the aviation industry and inter-play between various stakeholders and must also be computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Managerial skills, Strong analytical and negotiation skills, effective oral &amp; written communication skills etc<\/li>\n<li>Diverse nature of work requiring multi-skilling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>All applications with curriculum vitae including telephone, fax numbers and\/or e-mail addresses must be addressed to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES<br \/>\nGHANA CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY<br \/>\nPRIVATE MAIL BAG<br \/>\nKOTOKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT<br \/>\nACCRA &#8211; GHANA<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Closing 18th Aug, 2011<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana Civil Aviation Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the under-mentioned vacancy in the Economic Regulations Department of the Authority.
