{"id":4935,"date":"2011-08-08T01:56:30","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T01:56:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=4935"},"modified":"2013-12-27T11:21:49","modified_gmt":"2013-12-27T11:21:49","slug":"latest-engineering-jobs-in-ghana-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/latest-engineering-jobs-in-ghana-2011.html","title":{"rendered":"Latest Engineering Jobs in Ghana 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Golden Star (Wassa) Limited, a subsidiary of Golden Star Resources (GSR) group of mining companies of Denver, USA is a gold mining company situated at Akyempim in the Mpohor Wassa East District of the Western Region.<\/p>\n<p>Golden Star Wassa Limited recruits <strong>Planning Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>The company is seeking to employ suitable Ghanaians to fill the following positions at the Technical Services department.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<br \/>\nThe successful candidate shall:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for continuous sensitivity analyses for the various open pittable prospects around the operating mine .<\/li>\n<li>This includes optimisations, designs\/costing plans and reviews<\/li>\n<li>Undertake sensitivity analyses on all current and future open pits with respect to optimisation parameter variations<\/li>\n<li>Undertake pit design variations to determine optimum extraction sequence<\/li>\n<li>Maintain routine records related to work performed<\/li>\n<li>Deputise for the Long Term Planning Superintendent\u00a0 and\/or short term Planning Senior Engineer as required<\/li>\n<li>Work co-operatively with others and perform other related duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<br \/>\n<\/strong>These are senior staff position that go with very competitive salary packages and other attractive fringe benefits<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a degree in Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three to four years hand on experience in a mining industry<\/li>\n<li>Planning experience associated with open pit operations is essential<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in spreadsheet and database software packages<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Surpac\/Vulpac\/Datamine\/Whittle and\/or any other Mining Planning Software<\/li>\n<li>Able to show initiative and co-ordination skills and be able to interact with the Mining Planning section<\/li>\n<li>Must have good written and oral communication skill in English Language<\/li>\n<li>Some experience with training of junior personnel<\/li>\n<li>A holder of a valid Ghanaian motor vehicle driving license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Interested applicants should submit their applications with CVs, photocopies of certificates and other relevant documents, through:<a href=\"mailto:wrecruitment@gsrgh.com\">wrecruitment@gsrgh.com<\/a>\u00a0or the address below:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>THE HR\/ADMIN MANAGER<br \/>\nGOLDEN STAR (WASSA) LIMITED<br \/>\nP.
