\n\u2022 Identifies linkages of philanthropic individuals and agencies with UCC
\n\u2022 Maintain links with industry payers and keep complete and accurate database on same
\n\u2022 Seeks patent registration for works of innovation
\n\u2022 Seeks linkages with industry to commercialize innovative research findings
\n\u2022 Liaises with Faculties\/schools to keep record of staff extension services, including identifying relevant areas of support in the community
\n\u2022 Mobilises support for identified aras of need in the community through research or any other means
\n\u2022 Prepares policy briefs for engagement with national policy makers
\n\u2022 Handles business negotiations and teaming agreements with collaborators
\n\u2022 Identifies, coordinates and compiles research business development and strategic research plans of faculty, staff and students<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Additional qualification in Marketing, or Business Administration will be an advantage
\n\u2022 Effective networking skills and connect with business and industry
\n\u2022 Demonstrated understanding of intellectual property rights (patents, copyright, and related rights)
\n\u2022 Familiarity with the process of turning fresh ideas into great products and services
\n\u2022 Effective client liaison and the ability to build relationships
\n\u2022 Good interdisciplinary working skills
\n\u2022 Excellent client liaison and ability to build relationships
\n\u2022 Good planning, organizational and administrative skills
\n\u2022 Good IT skills and understanding of centralized database management system<\/p>\n
