The objective of programme is to expand supply of and access to affordable and reliable grid-connected electricity services in West Africa through a range of technical assistance, capacity building, and transactional support to advance Power Africa\u2019s objectives in selected countries in the West Africa region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\"><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Gender Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gender Specialist will be responsible for leading the programmes gender inclusion activities, including developing and implementing activities designed to increase access by women to modern electricity services to enhance their social and economic opportunities, increase employment opportunities for women at utilities and government agencies, increase the number of women in leadership positions within the energy sector, and facilitate training for women in technical fields.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the development of the programmes Gender Strategy and Gender Integration Plan, Annual Work Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, and specific project activities relating to gender and social inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Design, implement, and monitor outcomes of gender activities<\/li>\n<li>Review proposed project activities to assess gender impact and support achievement of the project\u2019s gender-related goals and targets<\/li>\n<li>Plan and conduct trainings with staff, counterparts, and beneficiaries on issues related to gender and the energy sector<\/li>\n<li>Review project deliverables, communications products, and other materials from a gender perspective as requested by project leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership \/ Behavioural Capabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Living our Purpose \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Acts as a role model, embracing and living our purpose and values, and recognizing others for the impact they make<\/li>\n<li><strong>Influence \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Influences clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships with increasingly senior people<\/li>\n<li><strong>Performance drive \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Delivers exceptional client service; maximizes results and drives high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strategic direction \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Understands key objectives for clients and Deloitte, aligns people to objectives and sets priorities and direction<\/li>\n<li><strong>Talent development \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Develops high-performing people and teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities<\/li>\n<li><strong>Competitive Edge \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Applies deep knowledge of disruptive trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inspirational Leadership \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Establishes a strong leadership brand and inspires followership through passion, integrity, and appreciation of others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"title\">Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a Bachelor\u2019s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Eng.\/B.
