Farmers will be seeking support on a variety of topics.<\/p>\n<p>For phase one, we will focus on supporting them in how to configure and use existing mobile\/SMS alerts that come from Esoko and relate to market prices, offers to buy and sell, and other configuration issues.<\/p>\n<p>In phase two, we anticipate growing the service to a much broader advisory service, including help around treating disease, new growing practices, application of fertilizers, access to markets, weather, and buyers\/sellers. It\u2019s a totally innovative and exciting new project that will empower rural farming communities with information that they can easily access over a phone.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to support farmers in Twi, Hausa, Dagbani, Ewe and English. The actual work will require you to answer calls in a call centre in central Accra, in collaboration with key experts and partners. You need to have the patience to work in an office environment, answering calls all day, and you need to have a real passion to help people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Answer inbound calls\/or emails promptly and in accordance with established call\/email handling procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Empathasize with callers and provide technical advice about using Esoko and agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Responding courteously and solving problems for a complete caller satisfaction experience.<\/li>\n<li>Recognizing, applying and explaining product knowledge to customers<\/li>\n<li>Direct requests and unresolved issues to the Customer Care Manager<\/li>\n<li>Transfers customers to other internal departments where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Keep records of customer interactions and details of actions taken<\/li>\n<li>Must comprehend and interpret customer complaints\/or suggestions accurately<\/li>\n<li>Build an educate customer\u2019s interest in the services and products offered by Esoko<\/li>\n<li>Providing individualized customer service of high-standard professional level<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating the collected competitive information to monitor business opportunities and trends<\/li>\n<li>Proactively keeps up to date on new procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support for end users through effective troubleshooting and problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Identifies the need to escalate specific issues and follow through where necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree in Agriculture or related discipline<\/li>\n<li>2 years of field experience in agricultural research, extension, practice or support<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak 2 or more of the following languages: Dagbani, Hausa, Ewe, Akan<\/li>\n<li>A strong desire to help others<\/li>\n<li>Ability to listen well on a phone and articluate answers clearly<\/li>\n<li>Diligent at making notes and writing observations\/comments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualified candidates should visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.busylab.com\/jobs\"><strong>www.busylab.com\/jobs<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for more details.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Closing 8th September, 2011<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking graduates who have a passion for helping people, have some experience with agriculture and rural development, and can communicate clearly and confidently.
