EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A recognized University Degree in Information Systems\/Technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of UNIX\/Microsoft Operating Systems preferable.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of Flexcube preferable.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of SWIFT payment system<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge and appreciation of the Banking \/Financial industry would be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of ITIL service management will be an advantage<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESULT AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User satisfaction \u2013 Over 95% of reported issues are resolved within agreed timelines<\/li>\n<li>Root cause analysis \u2013 Over 80% recurrent issues are identified and resolved permanently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of all logged issues \u2013 incidents\/requests within business application support unit<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to IT projects and initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Manage and ensure business continuity from applications perspective, ensuring backups are taken according to the bank\u2019s backup policy<\/li>\n<li>To effectively review all application logs to ensure services are not adversely impacted<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update log of all issues arising from all assigned business applications<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and arrive at root cause of all assigned issues<\/li>\n<li>Resolve all assigned issues<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with vendors to support all assigned applications<\/li>\n<li>Ensure change control procedures are enforced<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical\/application support to users in the Bank.<\/li>\n<li>Provide on the job training to Branch Systems Administrators\/users.<\/li>\n<li>Manage set-up and installation of new applications as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Test out fixes\/patches sent by vendors before implementation<\/li>\n<li>Submit weekly issues and resolution reports<\/li>\n<li>Take on other tasks and projects as and when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4 years working experience preferably in a Financial Institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good troubleshooting skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good analytical skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work under pressure.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Must be team player.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work outside business hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good communication skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date<\/strong>\u00a0: 22 August, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To provide technical and other user support services to all assigned business applications within the bank Job Description Job Title:\u00a0Applications Support Officer\u00a0 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp;
