Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Finance Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 The Finance Officer\u2019s position is a top management position heading a major division of the college<\/p>\n Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n The Finance Officer<\/p>\n \u2022 Is the Chief Accounting Officer of the College and the Chief Financial Advisor to the Principal Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Applicant must hold a good first degree or comparable qualification plus a professional qualification or a master\u2019s degree in finance. \n\u2022 Has general responsibility for the administration of the financial affairs of the college that will ensure its financial health and he\/she exercises direct superintendence over all accounting officers
\n\u2022 Is responsible for collecting all legitimate revenues due the college
\n\u2022 Exercises control over expenditure in line with the college\u2019s objectives and budgets
\n\u2022 Has the duty of preparing the annual budget of the college for presentation to the appropriate governing body for approval and implementation
\n\u2022 Is also responsible for ensuring that the financial statements of the college are drawn up in accordance with the law establishing the college, the statutes, applicable accounting standards and all other regulations approved by the college as well as all other relevant national laws and
\n\u2022 Liaises with the appointed external auditors to get the college\u2019s financial statements audited<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
\n\u2022 Possess hands-on ability to work independently
\n\u2022 Be a good team player
\n\u2022 Possess strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting software
\n\u2022 Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and possess proactive commercial flair<\/p>\n
