GIZ is a provider of international cooperation services for sustainable development and education dedicated to building a future worth living around the world. NAKDeF together with GIZ are promoting the establishment of Akyem Vocational and Technical Institute (AVTI). The AVTI is under the NAkDeF\/GIZ partnership programme called Akyem Skills, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (A-SEED). The main objective of AVTI is to equip the youth with employable skills for their livelihoods. The Institute aims at improving the employable skills of the youth through Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Secretary\/Administrator\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Akyem Amanfrom<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0AVTI Principal\/Center Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dimensions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Planning, organising and managing all resources and activities at the Institute. Ensuring healthy progress of the Institute\u2019s Units and maintaining a strong linkage with NAkDeF\/GIZ\/NVTI\/COTVET and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. District Assembly, Traditional Authority).<\/p>\n<p><strong>SECRETARY\/ADMINISTRATOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Types all correspondence including letters, memoranda, reports, etc.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Receives and answers telephone and take down messages<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Files correspondence and keeps records<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Attends meeting and records minutes at department meetings<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensures that sufficient stationery is always available<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in photocopying and binding of documentary materials<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in registering and dispatching letters<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Distributes memo, notice and reports<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Performs the duties of an administrator<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in the registration of trainees for TVET examinations<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Receives and files all letters, memorandum reports, circular and other documents emanating from the department.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Makes sure company policies are adhered to.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of an HND or stenographer secretary<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 work experience in a TVET institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified persons should submit their application letters, certificates and CVs to the address below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Executive Secretary<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Newmont Akyem Development Foundation<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>P.
