The ICT Skills for Business development project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ, via sequa gGmbH, supports Ghanaian partners in implementing practice-oriented ICT qualification programs and accompanying measures to promote employment of the local youth.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Team Leader for ICT Skills in Business<\/strong><\/p>\n Starting date: October 2020, negotiable<\/p>\n Contract duration: approximately 39 months Contract: Local contract<\/p>\n Project objective<\/p>\n To develop an innovative and hands-on IT education approach at a pilot university, blending the perspective of the academic sector with the experiences from the private sector.<\/p>\n Tasks<\/p>\n Lead project implementation to achieve qualitative and quantitative outcomes and intended impact;<\/p>\n Ensure the inclusion of marginalized population groups;<\/p>\n Lead the knowledge curation process, particularly with regard to developing country-specific TVET, SME and skills-development concepts, toolkits and case studies;<\/p>\n Mentor and coach project staff to build their capacities on various technical and management issues pertinent to the project;<\/p>\n Responsible for quality Monitoring & Evaluation and reporting;<\/p>\n Ensure financial reports to AFOS Foundation are accurate and submitted timely;<\/p>\n Lead on partner management and communications and representation of the project during events.<\/p>\n Requirements<\/p>\n At least a master\u2019s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Social Science or equivalent;<\/p>\n Minimum 10 years of progressive professional work experience, incl. at least 5 years of experience in managing skills development initiatives;<\/p>\n Strong understanding of private and public sector development, TVET systems, tertiary and basic education systems and business decision-making processes;<\/p>\n Understanding of market-oriented approaches and leveraging private sector investment for workforce development and business modernization, especially in the ICT sector;<\/p>\n Excellent analytical, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making skills;<\/p>\n Ability to manage working relationships with diverse public and private stakeholders;<\/p>\n Experience in log frame development, Monitoring and Evaluation, reporting.<\/p>\n Experience in mentoring and coaching young professionals;<\/p>\n Excellent communication skills, English proficiency;<\/p>\n Excellent computer literacy, incl. MS Office;<\/p>\n Understanding of working principles and methods of German development cooperation, as well as work experience with a German development organization or a similar post preferred;<\/p>\n Experience with German private sector preferred;<\/p>\n Experience in the ICT sector preferred.<\/p>\n We offer attractive working conditions in an international and multicultural context.
