The MVP adopts an integrated approach to help populations in severely deprived villages to break the cycle of extreme poverty and realize the Millennium Development Goals. Secotrs within which the MVP intervenes include agriculture, infrastructure, environments, health, education and business development among others. In Ghana, the MVP operates in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, and works with a cluster of 30 contiguous villages with an estimated total population of 30,000 people<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>The Earth Institute through the MDG Center is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position an Accountant.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Brief Description of work assignment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor expenditures and revenue<\/li>\n<li>Establish checks and other payments<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly and periodic\u00a0financial reporting<\/li>\n<li>Prepare bank reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accounting and bank records<\/li>\n<li>Reviews and analyse all documents for payment and certification<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and enhance internal control systems<\/li>\n<li>Assist for audit and internal\/external review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Higher\u00a0National Diploma (HND) in\u00a0Accounting or an equivalent qualification with excellent computer literacy.
