Terms of Reference Training Coordinator<\/b><\/p>\n

Position Title:<\/b>\u00a0Industrial Trades Training Coordinator (Ghanaian)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reports to:<\/b>\u00a0Project Field Manager<\/p>\n

Location:\u00a0<\/b>Tamale, Ghana with travel to project sites<\/p>\n

Start Date:<\/b>\u00a0October 2020<\/p>\n

Alinea Foundation Ghana is a subsidiary of Alinea International \u2013 one of Canada\u2019s leading international development firms. We\u00a0provide management and technical expertise to promote sustainable growth. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Trades\u00a0Training Coordinator to be based in Tamale, Ghana, to work on a five-year project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC).\u00a0The project entitled Empowering Women in Industrial Trades in Northern Ghana (WEE-NORTH) will enhance economic\u00a0empowerment, well-being and inclusive growth for women in Ghana by enabling, training and empowering young women to\u00a0participate in industrial trades that are essential for growth sectors of the economy.<\/p>\n

The proposed initiative will work with up to\u00a09 TVET institutions, located in the five northern regions, which suffer the most disadvantages both in terms of educational\u00a0inequalities at the basic education level, and geographical inequalities in the distribution of skills training opportunities<\/p>\n

The Industrial Trades Training Coordinator position will contribute to three intermediate outcomes of the project including a\u00a0more enabling environment for women\u2019s access to industrial trades training, ensuring quality of industrial trades\u00a0instruction\/training and linkage with industry partners for improved access to decent work.<\/p>\n

This position contributes to\u00a0managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all industrial trades training programs in the selected technical\u00a0institutions on behalf of the project. The Industrial Trades Training Coordinator should be familiar with the TVET sector in Ghana,\u00a0instructors, equipment and educational material requirements for industrial trades training.<\/p>\n

The Training Coordinator is expected to work as a member of a team of local and international professionals to implement this\u00a0project. This position reports to the Field Manager in Ghana.,<\/p>\n
