Job Title:\u00a0Senior Human Resource Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Collates data for the formulation of policies;
\n\u2022 Implements and monitors the programmes and activities of the Unit;
\n\u2022 Maintains and updates the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) for the Authority;
\n\u2022 Collates data for the preparation of the organisational design and HR planning of the Authority;
\n\u2022 Provides inputs for the development of a mechanism for recruitment, placement, promotion, succession planning and the smooth exit of staff;
\n\u2022 Collates data for the preparation of employee compensation and benefits schemes;
\n\u2022 Implements programmes and activities relating to employee wellbeing and conducive work environment;
\n\u2022 Implements directives relating to disciplinary matters;
\n\u2022 Facilitates training, learning and development activities;
\n\u2022 Provides inputs for the preparation of the annual and other periodic reports of the Unit;
\n\u2022 Provides inputs for the preparation of the annual budget and work plan of the Unit;
\n\u2022 Supervises and appraises the performance of immediate subordinate staff.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 A minimum of a Master\u2019s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields: Business\/Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences or other related disciplines.
\n\u2022 Must be a member of a recognized professional body.
\n\u2022 A minimum of four (4) years post-Bachelor\u2019s degree relevant work experience in a reputable organisation.
\n\u2022 Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Authority in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Good strategic management skills.
\n\u2022 Good knowledge in Labour laws and regulations.
\n\u2022 Good knowledge in Administrative procedures.
\n\u2022 Good leadership, networking and management skills.
\n\u2022 Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
\n\u2022 Negotiation, lobbying and conflict management skills.
\n\u2022 Monitoring and evaluation skills.
\n\u2022 High integrity and good ethical standards.
\n\u2022 Ability to inspire, motivate and mentor.
\n\u2022 Knowledge in financial management law and regulations.
\n\u2022 Knowledge in relevant IT applications.
\n\u2022 Good Report writing skills.<\/p>\n
