\n\u2022 Has the responsibility for the administration of the financial affairs of the college that would ensure its financial health
\n\u2022 Exercises direct supervision of the all Accounting Officers
\n\u2022 Is responsible for collecting all legitimate revenue due to the college
\n\u2022 Exercises control over expenditure in line with the college\u2019s objectives and budgets
\n\u2022 Has the duty of preparing the annual budget of the college for presentation to the appropriate Governing body for approval and implementation
\n\u2022 Is responsible for ensuring that the financial statements of the college, accounting standards and other relevant national laws are adhered to
\n\u2022 Liaises with appointed external auditors to get the college\u2019s financial statements audited<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 He\/She must be a member of a recognised accountancy professional association as well as a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants
\n\u2022 He\/she must have served as a Deputy Finance Officer in a college of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution\/organization for at least 4 years.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
\n\u2022 Possess hands-on ability to work independently
\n\u2022 Be a good team player
\n\u2022 Possess strong I.T skills and be working with accounting software
\n\u2022 Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
\n\u2022 Possess proactive commercial flair
\n\u2022 Be able to complete at least one term of 4 years before attaining the compulsory age of 60<\/p>\n
