{"id":5228,"date":"2011-08-26T07:15:14","date_gmt":"2011-08-26T07:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=5228"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:12:52","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:12:52","slug":"jobs-in-ghana-accra-sports-for-development-advisors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/jobs-in-ghana-accra-sports-for-development-advisors.html","title":{"rendered":"Jobs in Ghana Accra: Sports for Development Advisors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Right To Play, Accra, Ghana<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0Country Manager, Ghana<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Ghana (But with regional remit covering Rwanda, Mali, Liberia, and Benin)<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nPosition Description:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Sports for Development Advisor (SDA) position is established within the CIDA funded Play to\u00a0Learn Programme structure.<\/li>\n<li>It provides strategic direction to the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of Play to Learn sports programme activities in\u00a0Ghana and other WAFA Country Offices in accordance with CIDA &amp; RTP programme agreements or guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>The SDA is ultimately accountable for improved sports programme quality and ensures the impact of sports programmes on other areas like health, HIV\/AIDs, gender, etc; as well as facilitates knowledge sharing activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master&#8217;s Degree preferably in Social Sciences, Development Studies or other disciplines relevant to RTP focus area (education, sports, play, health\/HIV, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Relevant Certification as a Sports Coach<\/li>\n<li>5-7 years of work experience in project planning, implementation, organisational development, quality improvement monitoring and qualitative evaluation at a supervisory level<\/li>\n<li>Diplomatic, tactful, creative, discreet, flexible, resourceful, dependable, well-organised, friendly, emotionally mature, positive attitude with good sense of humor<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral and written French and English communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Intimate knowledge of sports and play programme management tools and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Strong presentation, facilitation, participation, training, and coaching skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and experience with children, education, sports and play<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated negotiations, networking and consensus building skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player, highly-motivated, self-starter, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All interested candidates who meet the requirements should deliver via email their application with detailed Curriculum Vitae to\u00a0<strong>The Regional HR\u00a0Officer at:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:wafaregional@righttoplay.com\">wafaregional@righttoplay.com<\/a>.
